Five decades in textile and pet products.

Orange King is led by Ed de Bever. Active in textile since the late 1970s and an entrepreneur since 2005. Together with Moni de Bever he founded Maro Trading Co. B.V. (brand: In The Mood Collection) and Lex en Max B.V. Both companies were acquired through publicly announced deals. Since 2024 he runs Orange King as a trade agency in textile and pet products.

Not a catalogue. A network.

Products are developed in collaboration with retailers — what works on the shop floor leads. Two seasonal collections per year, a year-round basics range, in-house design. Production runs through trusted partners in India, China and Europe, chosen for quality and delivery reliability.

  1. c. 1975 – 2005
    Working in the Dutch home-textile industry.
  2. 2005
    Founded Maro Trading Co. B.V. in Raamsdonksveer (CoC 18080419) — home-textile brand In The Mood Collection.
  3. 2006
    Launched the first dog and cat cushion line at the Dibevo trade fair.
  4. 2007
    Lex en Max B.V. separately registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (18089889).
  5. 2020
    Maro Trading Co. B.V. and the In The Mood Collection brand acquired by Edelman B.V. (announced July 2020).
  6. 2024
    Lex en Max acquired by Johnson Petfoods B.V. (announced May 2024).
